Ayala Hillside’s unique village parks unveiled

Distinct innovations in the design of community amenities will be introduced by Ayala Land Inc. at its latest residential subdivision in Quezon City. At Ayala Hillside Estates in Diliman, the plans for the clubhouses and parks have veered from big and impressive to compact and oriented towards the outdoors, according to Joel Luna, Ayala Lands assistant vice-president.

The 22-ha. subdivision near top universities and government institutions will have two parks: one will be oriented towards active daytime activities; and the other, designed for more quiet evening activities such as socials and other gatherings. "The concept is uncommon but responds to the needs of the community," explains Luna.

The 3,000 sqm. Day Garden located in the first phase of the subdivision will have a swimming pool, basketball court, children’s playground, palm court and pavilion. During the day, Ayala Land expects the park to be a venue for swimming lessons, taebo and taichi sessions, and basketball games and other more active recreational pursuits.

As its name implies, the 5,000 sqm. Evening Garden in the subdivision’s third phase will be the community’s focal point after dark. It was conceived as a venue for social gatherings such as weddings, birthday parties, family reunions and the like – with the facilities designed to maximize the drama of lighting. The ornamental pool will be illuminated; the multi-purpose hall with its outdoor gathering spaces will use lights to emphasize focal points and evens the landscaping with its quiet clustered gardens will focus on nocturnal plants that look best at night or bloom after dark. While evening theme does not preclude the use of facility during the day, it allows for a unique and inviting community gathering venue after hours.
