Worldbex goes regional

The World Building and Construction Exposition or Worldbex 2004 — the country’s biggest international construction trade show — does a regional swing and extends its reach to the most industrialized province in the South–Cebu City.

Dubbed "Philbex 2004," this regional version of Worldbex offers the same features and attraction as Worldbex 2004 only in a different venue. Slated from May 30 to June 1, 2004 at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu City, Philbex 2004 is organized by the Worldbex Services International (WSI).

Known as the Queen City of the South, Cebu has become a highly industrialized center that comes second to Manila’s bustling metropolis. Cebu is known not only for its tourist destinations but also for its lucrative business potential. The city is situated in the most accessible area of the country, allowing regular direct international flights destinations like Singapore, Hong Kong, Seoul, Taipei and Qatar making it the country’s most accessible province and ideal site for Philbex 2004.

"WSI is confident that the city of Cebu is the best venue to assure exhibitors of maximum exposure and mileage for their products and services. This will also promote the city’s other attractions and hopefully help in making business flourish more," said Joseph Ang, founding chairman of WSI.

Property developers, interior designers, architects, engineers, contractors, trade professionals, product designers, construction developers, consultants, project managers, government representatives and purchasing officers, among others are expected to fill the Atlantic Hall and Pacific Hall of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino during the three-day run of this construction trade exhibit.

"Based on the success of our previous exhibits such as the World Bazaar and Worldbex, I am confident that Philbex 2004 will be another trend-setting accomplishments for us," added Ang.

Philbex will showcase building materials, equipment and services. Furniture and hardware accessories, interior design, and renovation needs, security and fire equipment as well as information technology and telecommunications will also be available.

WSI is now accepting application for exhibitors for Philbex 2004. For more information, please contact Worldbex Services International, tel. nos. (632) 531 6374; 5316350; 5343611. Or log on to www.worldbex.com or email at info@worldbex.com.
