PCA launches Philconstruct ’04

The Philippine Constructors Association (PCA) has officially launched the 2004 Philippine International Construction, Building Materials and Equipment Exhibition or PHILCONSTRUCT 2004.

PCA president Emilio Tumbocon announced that this year’s PHILCONSTRUCT is expected to be the biggest and most comprehensive event ever for the Philippine construction and real estate industry. Now on its 14th year, the exhibition, which will be held at the World Trade Center, will showcase the latest technologies in construction as well as materials and equipment in industrial works, infrastructure development, real estate development and building construction here and abroad. It will also feature the latest technological breakthroughs in structural and architectural components, landscaping products, interior finishing, appliances and fixtures for industrial, commercial and residential projects.

"The exhibition will be an ideal venue for local firms to develop or strengthen international partnerships as it will also attract participants from across the globe," said Tumbocon, who is also president of the Makati Development Corp. "The Philippines itself has excellent market potential and this trade show will feature potential customers from Southeast Asia. We are positive that this year’s exhibit will open more new doors of opportunities for the local market," he added.

PHILCONSTRUCT, owned and organized by PCA, is the country’s longest-running and most comprehensive construction trade show. Hundreds of companies serving the construction industry participate in the exhibit to introduce their products and services. The PCA is the country’s oldest trade organization. Founded in November 1945, the association promotes professional services for the construction industry. It has over 1,500 members nationwide composed of buildings and constructors who play a vital role in the country’s national development.
