Being an avid golfer, Dr. Ed E. Francisco was quite familiar with the original Capitol Hills Golf Course in Quezon City, its views of the rolling greens, the mountains and even glimpses of the Metro Manila citiscape from some high points. Often, the dentist would be struck by "the drama of the terrain" as he made his way through the greens.

Thus, when Ayala Land, Inc. transformed a portion of the course into a top-end residential subdivision, he had no hesitation about purchasing a 539 sqm. lot within the project. He will soon begin construction of a five-bedroom home there. Francisco, his wife and two sons anticipate living in Ayala Hillside Estates and taking in the views of the new, updated executive golf course. Golf course and residential area have been designed so both golfers and residents can fully appreciate the scenes offered by this idyllic area.

The affable Francisco looks forward to enjoying the built-in "peace of mind and security" offered by the project to its residents and bolstered by the solid track record of its developer. "You must count on Ayala Land to always deliver on its promises," he says.

Only 25 years, Ayala Hillside lot owner Michelle Villaruel can likewise visualize raising a family in this scenic community close to top-rated schools and universities. But being single and based in Singapore, the brand manager for Procter and Gamble admits it may take years before she actually lives in the neighborhood.

In addition to Ayala Hillside’s unique surroundings, the winsome Villaruel admits that she bought a lot there primarily as an investment. In lieu of savings, she wanted to earmark part of her expat earnings for "something that would accumulate value on its own." She decided on the project only after visiting many other subdivisions and real estate developments in Quezon City. After weighing the pros and cons of each, she figured she would get the best values in the future from Ayala Hillside Estates.

It helped that she also fell in love with the place at the first sight. "Each time I’m home, I visit the lot and see how the community taking shape. I stand there and don’t feel at all like I’m in the city. It’s much too peaceful" she smiles. The corporate achiever hopes to be able to one day live in Ayala Hillside but keeps her options open depending on what the future and her career will bring.

Lot owner and real estate specialist Jo Gaston affirms that truly there is no other property like Ayala Hillside Estates in Northern Metro Manila. "There are only 240 lots in this neighborhood," says the broker. Demand for this kind of property is bound to remain strong for a long period of time to come since few other golf courses are likely to turn residential.
