CREBA sets 30th convention at Mimosa Estate, Clarkfield

-
The Chamber of Real Estate and Builders Associations (CREBA) and the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) will hold a joint national convention on Oct. 2-4 at the Holiday Inn Resort at the Mimosa Leisure Estate, Clarkfield, Pampanga. Convention theme is "Sustainable Urban Development: A Key Towards A Strong Republic."

This was announced by CREBA national president Florentino S. Dulalia Jr. and overall convention chairman Pedro C. Tario.

The convention coincides with the 30th anniversary of CREBA, the largest and the oldest industry organization. Atty. Manuel M. Serrano, board chairman, led sector leaders in founding CREBA in the continuing effort to make housing and urban development a major pump-primer in the national economy. CREBA has been serving as an active advocacy group for the industry, its public and overall national development.

Dulalia and Tario said the 2003 CREBA-HUDCC convention will provide a national forum through which the industry stakeholders will address current housing and urban development issues and strategies.

Thus, they said, emerging ideas and existing programs in real estate and sustainable urban development will take center-stage. Special focus will be the efficient use of real estate assets through vertical developments such as medium-rise buildings, available credit facilities for local government unit housing projects and the thrust in expanding the network in the international market, and a business matching program.

As the Philippines continues to go through the process of healing and building a strong Republic, they said, the housing sector continues its effort to regain and maintain its position as the major pump-primer of the national economy.

Former Rep. Amado S. Bagatsing, HUDCC vice-chairman, and Purita R. Soliven, CREBA executive vice-president, are overall convention co-chairpersons.
