Eagle Ridge holds event to mark completion

Eagle Ridge Golf & Country Club, one of the largest golf sites in Asia and the only 72-hole course in the country, further boosts its capabilities with the completion of its entire golf complex. This accomplishment brings into full operation of all four-championship courses and its service facilities, which include the main club, and two satellite clubhouses. These clubhouses offer services and amenities that allow Eagle Ridge to offer the most comprehensive sports, recreational and country club facilities.
Property developer Sta. Lucia Realty & Development Inc. and landowner Alsons Land Inc. have carried out all its commitments with the delivery of the last 18-hole championship course and the final touches are being done on the main clubhouse, a complex that encloses three facilities: the Main Golf Clubhouse, the Family Clubhouse, and the Sports Annex. The complex encloses an area of 1.2 hectares (12,000 square meters).
To celebrate the much-anticipated completion, Eagle Ridge will hold an Inaugural Weekend today. A golf tournament will be held at the four golf courses that will highlight the playability of the golf estates fourth championship course, the Norman course. A day-long sports clinics and exhibitions will be capped by the inauguration of the Main Golf Clubhouse, and followed by a concert featuring the APO Hiking Society, childrens shows and a pyrotechnics display. Inquiries may be telephoned through 046-4192855.
Eagle Ridge planners said that the Main Clubhouse is a highlight of the estate, as it is the centerpiece of the estates complement of clubhouses. The currently operating clubhouses are satellite amenities catering to the individual championship courses. But the Main Clubhouse is intended to be the hub of the estates services to the golfers families and guests.
The Main Golf Clubhouse is the largest clubhouse in the estate, and will provide full cuisine services to golfers after a full day of golfing. Here, golfers can lounge and dine in style, and purchase golfing gear and accessories at the pro shop.
Adjacent to the Main Clubhouse is the Family Clubhouse, which provides a complete range of non-golf recreational and leisure activities. The Family Clubhouse has its own 14-lane bowling alley, a 144-seat DTS cinema (which will hold regular screenings of movies), swimming pool lagoons with a white sand oasis, a billiard alley, snack and juice bar, and playroom for toddlers.
Annexed to the Family Clubhouse is two-level lounge deck that offers a panoramic view of the rolling fairways off two adjacent Norman and Faldo courses.
The Sports Annex is a separate building connected to the Family Clubhouse. It houses indoor courts for basketball, three badminton courts; two tennis courts and a gym equipped with nautilus machines.
"There is no golf facility in the country as large and inviting as Eagle Ridge Golf & Country Club," said Engr. Winnie Gob, Project Director of the Eagle Ridge Golf & Country Club. "Each of itsfour championship golf courses has distinct skill challenges conjured by four of the best course designers in the world. Main Clubhouse and two satellite clubhouses offer services to pamper golfers, from Japanese and choice cuisine to spa and sauna facilities. The golfers family and non-playing guests will be pampered, as the Family Clubhouse and Sports Annex has the offerings to make the whole day enjoyable."
Eagle Ridge Golf & Country Club is part of the 700-hectare self-contained golf and residential estates in General Trias, Cavite. The whole estate has 72 holes laid out in four 18-hole championship ccourses designed by four of the worlds leading course designers-architects: Australias Greg Norman; Englands Nick Faldo; Japans Isao Aoki; and the US golf architect Andy Dye.
Engr. Gob added that Eagle Ridge has a residential component, which is being developed by Sta. Lucia Realty. Aside from the three villages, an initial cluster of twenty golf villa units will soon rise within the estate. The golf villas are of a two-level duplex design, containing three bedrooms, three toilets-and-bathrooms, and a living room.
Microtel Inns and Suites (Pilipinas) Inc., the local master franchise holder of the US-based Microtel chain of economy hotels, operates a hotel within Eagle Ridge. It has a three level floor and 60-room budget hotel for businessmen.
