HPC leads exports of bathroom fixtures for five straight years

Hocheng Philippines Corp. (HPC), manufacturer and distributor of HCG bathroom fixtures, remains the leading export producer of sanitary wares in the country for five straight years, delivering some 1.5 million fixtures to more than 20 countries around the world from its state-of-the-art production facility in Cavite. Total exports of HPC amounted to P1.1 billion as of end-2002.
"After 1998, HPC continuous to produced world-class products where Filipino workmanship tandems perfectly with state-of-the-art European technology also employed in HCG manufacturing facilities around the world," said HPC vice president Steve Chien.
HCG bathroom fixtures from the 10-hectare production facility at the First Cavite Industrial Estate are exported to the United States, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and European markets.
"HPC has combined its world-renowned European design and American function with Filipino craftsmanship to create products that are in demand in the world market," Chien said.
He disclosed that the companys export sales improved an average of 24 percent annually.
Domestic sales, meanwhile, grew at a phenomenal rate of 77 percent amounting to P950 million as of the end-March 2003.
Chien noted that domestic sales expanded nearly six times in four years from sales of 69.8 million during its first full year of operations in 1998 to P356.1 million last year.
Because of this, HPCs total annual sales growth had been at an impressive 40 percent, hitting the P2 billion mark as of end-March this year.
