Appeal of an Ayala Hillside waterfront lot

Ayala Hillside Estates, Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI)’s newest high-end residential project in Quezon City, has launched a phase that will give residents rare views of lagoons and green landscapes within city limits.

The new waterfronts lots, located in a nearly exclusive section of the Ayala Hillside Estates, offers a startling panorama of lagoons and fairway views of the redeveloped Capitol Hills golf course to be completed in 2003.

Located on what used to be part of the Capitol Hills golf course in Old Balara, Ayala Hillside Estates capitalizes on views of the new golf course being redeveloped by the club for its members. Nevertheless, Ayala Hillside Estates will remain completely independent of the golf project. Residents and members share the views of the golf course while using separate access routes for convenience and security.

The waterfront lots, located in Augusta Street will look out to the golf course’s lagoon system. The lagoons that will cascade into one another will make use of recirculating water to irrigate the fairways. Joel Luna, Ayala Land assistant vice-president and designer of Ayala Hillside Estates, points out that living next to water is considered a unique advantage in many of the newer residential developments in the US.

"It’s visually refreshing to look out a bedroom window or walk out of your lanai and see water. It also helps cool the microclimate," he says.

Aside from lagoon views in their backyard, the Augusta Street residents will also enjoy a border of lush tropical foliage across the street from the entrances to their homes. The landscaping has been designed to provide residents an extra measure of privacy.

Ayala Hillside Estates has experienced a phenomenal take-up rate since its launch in October last year, attracting buyers who are on the lookout for quality high-end residential properties. Buyers are drawn by the development’s picturesque views afforded by the golf course’s fairways and water features, a rarity in today’s highly urbanized areas. Moreover, it is located in an uncongested part of Quezon City that is still close to the university belt, majors hospitals, government offices and Metro Manila’s business districts. Ayala Hillside Estate’s masterplan also includes amenities such as a multi-purpose pavilion, swimming pool, basketball court, children’s play area, and a number of parks.

Luna adds that the new Ayala Hillside Estates community will adopt an Asian contemporary landscape theme inspired by styles indigenous to Singapore, Malaysia and the rest of Southeast Asia. The streets and parks will feature palms, rain trees, heliconias and colorful Asian foliage to heighten the experience of living in a lush environment. Electric and telephone utilities will be underground to give residents clear views of the sky.

Attention to details like these is a hallmark of Ayala Land developments. Coupled with sound planning and a keeps understanding of what makes up a community, these factors account for the sustained appreciation of Ayala properties in general.
