With Sta. Rosa in Laguna emerging as one of the fastest-growing and urbanizing centers in Southern Luzon, leading township developer Empire East Land Holdings, Inc. expects residents of its landmark community project Laguna BelAir to reap the benefits of the towns rapid progress.
Dubbed as the countrys "Little Detroit" owing to the presence of major auto manufacturers Ford, Toyota, Honda, Isuzu and Nissan, Sta. Rosa is expected to attract more investments once the new interchange at the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and the Biñan-Sta. Rosa circumferential road are completed, according to Empire East Land president Anthony Charlemagne Yu.
Sta. Rosa, which supplies half of the cars, buses and trucks sold and used in the country, was the biggest revenue earner in 2002 among the countrys municipalities.
Contributing to the rapid growth and development of the area is the presence of the countrys premier theme park Enchanted Kingdom, National Science Technology High School, leading economic zones Sta. Rosa Business Park and Laguna Technopark, commercial centers Robinsons Place Sta. Rosa and Waltermart and manufacturing firms led by Asia Brewery and Coca-Cola Philippines.
Sta. Rosa has also become a highly preferred residential location with the continuing influx of Metro Manila-based residents because of its proximity to the metros business and work centers.
"The presence of well-planned, self-contained communities such as Laguna BelAir plays a major part in the continuing development of Sta. Rosa," Yu said. "Homebuyers will be surprised at how progressive the town is. Minus Metro Manilas traffic congestion and pollution, it boasts topnotch industrial zones, educatonal institutions and leisure centers comparable to those of the metropolis."
Laguna BelAir III, the latest expansion phase of Empire East Lands township in Sta. Rosa, is an easy commute from Metro Manila via the South Luzon Expressway and the Metro Manila Skyway.
Homebuyers can choose from seven country-style, American-inspired model homes that boast larger floor and lot areas: the contemporary Audrey, Brenna, Chloe and Daphne and the classic Corinne 2, Denise 2 and Francine 2.
"Besides a larger living space, the new features especially designed for growing families include a porch, a carport and an extra toilet and bath on the second floor. The kitchen layout has been improved, the living and dining areas have been made roomier and the ceilings have been made higher," Yu said.
Laguna BelAir III boasts a fast-growing commercial center now serving the community and neighboring areas, a DECS-accredited science high school called the Laguna BelAir School, a church and an upcoming two-hectare leisure park featuring a man-made lagoon for boating and fishing, childrens playgrond, flower and butterfly garden, an aviary and a learning resource center.
