UMak offers building management diploma courses

A post baccalaureate diploma program in building management is being offered by the University of Makati (UMak) College of Technology Management in partnership with the Philippine Association of Building Administrators, Inc. (PABA), as announced by Purita G. Sincero, dean of the College of Technology Management, University of Makati and Val S. Abeng, president of the Philippine Association of Building Administrators, Inc., respectively. It will be conducted twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-9 p.m., at the air conditioned classroom, 2nd floor, Room 204, College of Technology Management Building 1, UMak Complex, J.P. Rizal Avenue Extension, West Rembo, Makati City.
This professional diploma program is a series of six specialized module courses of 12 sessions per module for a duration of 42 hours each module. It is designed for building administrators/property managers and other allied trade professionals of the building and property management industry in the Philippines, managing, operating, maintaining, supervising and administrating buildings of commercial, industrial, institutional, educational, recreational, residential and condominium development projects.
Each participant earns a post baccalaureate diploma upon completion of the required six module courses. The completion of each module course in turn enables the participant to earn a certificate of achievement for each module. Participants who successfully complete the diploma program shall be accredited and will earn the title of "Certified Property Manager" (CPM) of the building and property management industry in the Philippines conferred by the PABA.
Each module courses are presented by facilitators of the Philippines top practitioners, who are highly recognized, qualified and experienced in the building and property management profession. Such highly-skilled facilitators are industry-based and have the extensive hands-on practical experiences and specialization of all facets in the management, operation, maintenance, supervision and administration of commercial buildings, industrial, institutional, educational, recreational, residential, and condominium projects and member-practitioners of the association.

Almonte Jr.; Module 3 "Real Estate Marketing and Leasing Management" (May 5 to May 30, M/W/F, 6-9 p.m.) facilitator Larry F. Dimagiba Jr.; Module 4 "Financial Management for Building Managers" (June 9 to July 9, M/W/F, 6-9 p.m.) facilitator Arnel Santiago; Module 5 "The Legal Aspects of Building and Property Management" (July 21 to Aug. 15, M/W/F, 6-9 p.m.) facilitator lawyer Francisco S. Serrano; Module 5 "The Condominium Concepts and Its Management" (Aug. 25 to Sept. 19, 2003, M/W/F, 6-9 p.m.) facilitator Val S. Abeng.
