Equipment worth P15-M unveiled

SAN ISIDRO, Nueva Ecija – At least P15 million worth of heavy equipment and service vehicles had been unveiled here by the office of 4th district Rep. Raoul Villareal and the 2nd Nueva Ecija Engineering District (NEED) office of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to help improve road conditions of farm-to-market roads and improve the productivity of local farmers in seven towns and a component city in the congressional district.

The equipment pool consisting of eight back hoes, four graders and four ambulances were blessed and inaugurated in ceremonies along the Gapan-Olongapo Road here recently.

Villareal led the rites along with his wife, former two-term Rep. Julita Villareal, board member Chris Villareal and Jojo Villareal.

A fiesta-like atmosphere comlete with fireworks and the release of multi-colored balloons ushered in the ceremonies which was witnessed by Press Undersecretary Carmencita "Ching" Suva, a resident of Poblacion, members of the Malacañang Press Corps, Engr. Angelito Twaño, 2nd NEED district engineer and barangay officials.

Villareal said that the heavy equipment were funded out of his Philippine Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) and will be made available free of charge to residents in the fourth congressional district covering the towns of Peñaranda, Jaen, San Leonardo, San Antonio, Cabiao, Gen. Tinio and this town and the component city of Gapan.
