Triple ‘A’ contractor tests its limits

Triple "A" long-time contractor and real estate developer E. Ganzon, Inc. (EGI) has set its eyes on contracts other than housing beginning the second half of 2002. In the past, EGI has acquired renown for its specialization in condominium design, construction and operation. In its 20 years of experience as a general building and general engineering construction firm, EGI has built no less than 54 condominium buildings, scattered in Metro Manila, Metro Cebu and in the province of Rizal.

EGI is completing the EGI Taft Tower beside the De la Salle University, will start the EGI Homes Cavite in Bacao II, General Trias, Cavite and will construct within the year the EGI Albergo di Ferroca in Baguio City. In the drawing boards are medium rise condominiums to rise in Bgy. Kaytikling, Taytay, Rizal, luxury vacation houses in scenic Tagaytay and the 77 storey tallest building in the country, the Skycity, to rise along the corner of EDSA and Ortigas Avenue, Mandaluyong City.

Always strong in adversity, EGI is not unfamiliar with the demanding needs of the trade even when the monetary crisis of the past five years may have blown away men of lesser mettle. With God’s help, it has withered the storm and is now ready for the challenges of the still struggling Philippine economy.

For starters, it has remarkably summoned its survival skills to keep its head above water. It tried to settle its debts with creditors, marketed its products more aggressively, and cut on unnecessary fat. Then, it showed its technical muscle and went into design and building projects for construction clients. Going strong on the possibilities before it, EGI will surely expand to discover that there are no boundaries.
