MANILA, Philippines — Yamaha Motor Philippines showcased its latest offerings at the Inside Racing Bike Festival & Trade Show, with a focus on highlighting the Japanese marque’s deep connection with Filipino culture and its passionate riders.

The event started with a high-energy performance from KZ Tandingan and UPEEPZ, which added to the excitement and energy of the presentation.

The main attraction of the event was the unveiling of the redesigned Yamaha Mio Gravis and the brand-new Yamaha XMAX. The Mio Gravis has been upgraded to cater to a more premium and active lifestyle, while the XMAX is a perfect combination of aesthetics, performance and agility.

The booth design was also a standout feature of the event, reflecting the passion of the riders and integrating it with the brand’s core values. Attendees had the opportunity to experience the brand’s world-class machines with their muses, exploring the various series, from the MT-Series to the R-World, Off-Road models, Faster Sons and the Yamaha Mio.

The event marked the beginning of Yamaha’s calendar year of remarkable presentations across the country, promising to bring nothing but the best that the brand can offer.

Yamaha Motor Philippines continues to establish its presence in the market, delivering exceptional products and experiences to its customers.

2023 Yamaha Mio Gravis

Yamaha Motor Philippines has unveiled its latest offering, the 2023 Mio Gravis, at the IR Bikefest. The scooter features updated design and tech, along with new color options for the upcoming year.

One of the significant changes is the reworked front end, with larger headlamps giving the scooter a more imposing look. However, the overall silhouette of the vehicle remains unchanged. Yamaha has introduced new color options for the 2023 model, including Matte Black, Matte Brown and Glam Petrol.

Another notable addition to the Mio Gravis is Y-Connect availability. This feature allows riders to connect their smartphones to the scooter via a dedicated app, enabling them to monitor the status of their motorcycle, track servicing and maintenance, and access many other features.

The Mio Gravis still comes with a 125cc air-cooled, single-cylinder gasoline engine, generating 9.38 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 9.5 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. Although it lacks ABS, the vehicle is equipped with front and rear disc brakes. Additionally, it has a 4.2-liter fuel tank, providing enough fuel for extended rides.

The new Mio Gravis is available at a sticker price of P93,900. It’s a welcome addition to Yamaha’s local lineup, providing riders with an affordable, reliable and stylish scooter. The scooter market has become increasingly competitive, and Yamaha has made a smart move by updating the Mio Gravis with fresh design and technology features.

2023 Yamaha XMax

Apart from the new Mio Gravis, Yamaha Motor Philippines has launched its latest model, the 2023 XMax, at the Inside Racing Bike Festival & Trade Show. The maxi-scooter has undergone design changes and significant tech upgrades, making it a top contender in the competitive scooter market.

The new XMax retains the powerful 292cc Blue Core single-cylinder engine, producing 27.6 horsepower and 29 Nm of torque, providing an exhilarating riding experience. However, the highlight of the new model is the 4.2-inch color TFT infotainment display featuring smartphone connectivity via the Y-Connect and Garmin Motorize apps. Riders can manage calls and messages through the screen and activate the speed limiter, among other functions.

In addition, the XMax features a small 3.2-inch LCD display, serving as the dedicated speedometer. Other added amenities include the new smart key and traction control system. Furthermore, the seat has been reshaped to better accommodate not-so-tall riders, which will appeal to the Filipino market.

The new XMax has an updated, modern design and boasts a combination of practicality and style, providing a comfortable ride. It’s an excellent option for those who want a high-performance maxi-scooter with top-of-the-line technology.

The 2023 Yamaha XMax comes with a price tag of P299,500, making it a mid-range option that offers excellent value for money. The XMax’s launch demonstrates Yamaha’s commitment to providing innovative, high-quality scooters that cater to the needs of a diverse group of riders.
