Toyota environment, safety and health conference for dealers

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) held the 9th Dealer Environment, Safety and Health (DESH) Conference with the theme “Towards Greener and Safer Global Mobility” as part of its celebration of the Environment Month. This year, forty-three Toyota dealers participated in the conference where they discussed providing better services by improving environmental performance, as well as enhancing safety and health practices in their respective operations. TMP president Michinobu Sugata (front, fourth from right) commended the dealers for being consistently compliant with DESH, having recorded an average rating of above 90% in the past years. He also urged the dealers to achieve a Zero Accident Workplace. Twenty-eight Toyota dealers (in photo) were given the Toyota DESH Excellence Award for achieving 100-percent compliance with the Dealer Environmental Management System (DEMS) and Dealer Safety Management System (DSMS) during the previous year. All Toyota affiliates worldwide celebrate the Environment Month every June by promoting environment-friendly activities to its value chain as part of its commitment to the environment. Other Environment Month activities held to promote care for the environment include the Toyota Eco-Run and Tree Planting Activity for Team Members, and the Environmental Best Practices Benchmarking Activity by Suppliers in TMP.
