Kia named official transport provider of TV5’s The Amazing Race Philippines Season 2: Biyaheng Asya

MANILA, Philippines – More surprises from the brand with the Power to Surprise as travel warriors of The Amazing Race Philippines Season 2 are set to take on their Philippine & Asian adventure aboard a Kia Sportage!

The Amazing Race Philippines is the local franchise of the award-winning reality competition of the same name. Since 2001, the show has garnered a worldwide fan base and critical acclaim for its unique challenges, highly-competitive nature, and visual spectacle featuring the world’s finest landmarks.

Now, Kia is part of this long but amazing road trip that will bring the 12 pairs all over the Philippines and in some parts of Asia!

As the Official Transport Provider, contestants use Kia vehicles to drive around different cities looking for clues or for their next challenge and ultimately, to race to the pit stop. In addition to a prize money of P2 million, the winning pair will each receive a Kia Sportage courtesy of Columbian Autocar Corporation (CAC), the exclusive distributor of Kia in the Philippines.

CAC president, Ginia R. Domingo, excitedly shared the news about Kia’s latest venture. “Kia is always in check with what appeals to the young and the young-at-hearts. Much like how The Amazing Race Philippines opens a whole new adventure for people of all ages, Kia’s model line-up is like that. One can find joy and excitement aboard every Kia vehicle.”

Domingo added, “We recently celebrated our 20th year in the industry and this wonderful collaboration with TV5 and with The Amazing Race Philippines is another testament to how Kia wants to start the next 20 years—vibrant and always with an element of surprise.”

For its sophomore edition, the “race around Asia” will surely be more unpredictable and challenging but contestants can at least look to the comfort, security, and all-around performance of Kia Sportage to help them get through.
