MANILA, Philippines – Motor Image Pilipinas Inc. (MIPI), the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles in the country, along with its authorized dealers, will hold its second phase of Kansha Festival from Oct. 20 to 26. Also known as Subaru customer appreciation week, the Kansha festival is originally a celebration adapted from the Japanese “Kinro Kansha no Hi” or Labor Thanksgiving Day.

In observance of this Japanese holiday, the  seven-day Kansha Festival follows the spirit of thanksgiving by dedicating the occasion to valued customers Motor Image will be giving away exclusive offers on selected Subaru vehicles, accessories, parts, aftersales service and even Subaru merchandise items. Along with this, a service clinic will be providing free 25-point Safety Check-up, on Subaru vehicles at visit any of its showrooms.

All Subaru showrooms will be offering extended service hours from 7am to 7pm for the duration of the festival. For those who wish to purchase a new Subaru, great offers await with special packages when buying during the said dates.

The week-long Kansha Festival will also consist of different attractions for the whole family. Selected Subaru showrooms will be decorated with Japanese-inspired ornaments and an array of food to choose from will be available as customers patiently wait while friendly service advisors cater to their vehicles.

All Subaru owners, fans and aspiring customers are invited to visit any Subaru showroom for this much awaited yearly event.

Suzuki helps Cebu motorists get ready for All Saint’s Day travel

Suzuki car owners in Cebu can now have worry-free trips during All Saint’s Day as Suzuki brings their Suzuki @ Work service camp to Mandaue City. From October 24 to 25, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., owners of Suzuki cars will be treated to a free 15-point automobile check-up by qualified Suzuki technicians.

The two-day Free Check-Up Service Campaign (FCSC) is an annual nationwide aftersales activity offering free comprehensive check-ups on all Suzuki automobiles brought to participating dealerships during the service camp days. The free 15-point check-up includes topping of fluids, checking of battery condition using a computerized battery tester, and checking of engine performance using the Suzuki Diagnostic Tool (SDT) among others. Aside from the free check-up, Suzuki car owners in Cebu will also be treated to 15 per cent discount on spare parts and labor during the camp.

Michelin Right 2 Race winners live their dream at Michelin Pilot Sport Experience 2014

Winners of the Michelin Right 2 Race online competition came to Malaysia’s legendary Sepang International F1 Circuit last August to participate in the Michelin Pilot Sport Experience 2014. The 25 winners from 6 countries won their way to the Pilot Sport Experience after competing with over 3,600 participants by virtually driving with the fastest lap time around Sepang.

The winners took part in this once-in-a-lifetime experience that included driving race-bred vehicles such as Formula 4, Renault Clio Cup, and Citroen C2 Rally. Through special workshops, the winners drove on off-road rally tracks, and the entire track of Sepang International F1 Circuit. Besides driving, they participated in the Pit Stop Challenge where they competing for the best time in changing racecar tires.

On top of that, all winners sat in hot laps, driven by motorsport champions, on ultra-high performance race cars of Lamborghini Super Trofeo and the legendary Formula Le Mans 2-seater cars especially designed for this event.

All of the activities are done under the watchful eye of professional driving instructors and renowned racecar drivers, in a totally safe and competitive driving environment.

The champion for this year is Ivan Isada from the Philippines, and 2nd place goes to Mitchell Lukasz from Australia, while 3rd place was Willy Vaniliy Teo from Malaysia. As champions of all winners, Isada received a special surprise from Michelin with an exclusive all-expense paid trip to witness Le Mans 24 Hours in Le Mans, France in June 2015, where he will be flown on helicopter for a tour of the track and visit areas of the circuit restricted to the public.
