Isuzu mu-X, Team Kramer a match made in family heaven
MANILA, Philippines – Team Kramer, the family of celebrity basketball player Doug Kramer and his wife, actress and TV host Chesca Garcia-Kramer, is now the official brand ambassador of the all-new Isuzu mu-X. Together with the couple’s children—Kendra, Scarlett and Gavin—Team Kramer perfectly embodies the family-oriented values promoted by Isuzu’s newly launched flagship SUV, as well of those embraced by the Isuzu brand in general.
“Team Kramer represents the ideals, aspirations and lifestyle of the many Filipino families to whom the all-new Isuzu mu-X appeals and caters,” said Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) president Nobuo Izumina. “Their family also shares the same traditional values of togetherness, safety and utmost concern for the well-being of loved ones much like Isuzu, which is why Team Kramer and the all-new Isuzu mu-X is a perfect match.”
IPC appointed Team Kramer as the Isuzu mu-X’s brand ambassador in a signing ceremony held recently at the Fairmont and Raffles Hotel in Makati City. Formalizing the agreement is the turnover of a mu-X 4x4 AT to Team Kramer during IPC’s presentation in the 5th Philippine International Motor Show last September 18.
The first celebrity endorser IPC has signed up in 15 years, Team Kramer complements the “Ready to Impress” qualities of the Isuzu mu-X. The latest model in the Isuzu range boasts of luxurious features, a comfortable ride quality, superb on- and off-road performance, fuel efficiency, and practicality through a seven-seat configuration, making the vehicle ideal for Filipino families.
“Like Team Kramer, these are modern families where the parents are hands-on in raising their children while still engaging in professional and recreational pursuits. It’s a fact that Team Kramer is very well-rounded. Doug is from the world of sports while Chesca is from the entertainment industry. Somehow, the two of them met and in all aspects, look like they’re made for each other. It’s just like the All-New Isuzu mu-X…it’s versatile for entertainment or sports,” Izumina said.
The new Isuzu mu-X is a midsized SUV flaunting a spacious cabin within an exterior package that’s easy to maneuver and park. It is powered by a Isuzu’s new 4JK1-TC 2.5-liter diesel engine that has Common Rail Direct Injection (CRDi) and an intercooled Variable Geometry System (VGS) turbocharger, allowing it to produce 136 ps at 3,400 rpm and a high 320 Nm of torque from 1,800 to 2,800 rpm.
Depending on the four variants available, the Isuzu mu-X can come with leather seats, special steering wheel and door trim; a seven-inch touchscreen display for the six-speaker multimedia system that has aux-in, USB, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as built-in navigation; audio controls on the steering wheel; a 10-inch roof-mounted DVD monitor with remote control; dual climate control with rear coolers; speed-sensing door locks; three 12-volt accessory sockets; a total of 19 storage compartments and 12 cupholders; electroluminescent instrument meters; a Multi-Information Display (MID) panel; and push-button ignition start/stop, among other features.
“Team Kramer is very family-oriented, and would even take their parents with them when they go on trips. The All-New Isuzu mu-X is very much a family vehicle. It’s spacious and has safety features to ensure a worry-free trip,” Izumina added.
