Peugeot to display 508 Hybrid4 at upcoming PIMS 5

Peugeot has long been at the forefront of diesel technology development. The French automotive brand’s current local line-up is proof of this with the 3008 Crossover, the 5008 Compact MPV and the 508 Executive Sedan proving their worth during last year’s Peugeot Eco Fun Run, where an astounding 28.5 km/l was achieved in a mixed highway and city run.

To further stress its diesel technology leadership, Peugeot’s exclusive Philippine importer and distributor, Eurobrands Distributor Inc. (EDI), will display the Peugeot 508 Hybrid4 at the upcoming 5th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), which will be staged from September 18 to 21 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. “We have always stressed how far ahead Peugeot is when it comes to diesel technology development. We decided to grab this opportunity to bring in further proof of this at the 5th PIMS via the 508 Hybrid4.  The timing is perfect fit to the theme of this year’s show, which is Progress in Motion,” says EDI president Felix J. Mabilog, Jr.

The Peugeot 508 Hybrid4 combines Peugeot’s already efficient diesel combustion engine with an electric motor to deliver amazing emission and mileage numbers. Thanks to an improved software management system that optimizes the phases of operation of the car’s electric motor, CO2 emissions from the 508 Hybrid4 register at a very low 85g/m while the mileage number has shot up to 30.6km/l.

Joining the 508 Hybrid4 in the Peugeot display at the 5th PIMS are the 3008 Crossover, the 5008 Compact MPV, the 508 Executive Sedan, the Expert Tepee Family Van and the RCZ Sports Car.
