Subaru intros WRX 2.0 with manual transmission

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Motor Image Pilipinas (MIP), the authorized distributor of Subaru in the Philippines, has officially announced the arrival of the all-new Subaru WRX 2.0 Manual Transmission variant. The decision to bring in this variant, which will be available by mid-September, was brought about by popular demand from customers nationwide. Previously available with an 8-speed Sport Lineartronic automatic transmission, customers now have the option of a 6-speed manual transmission when considering an all-new Subaru WRX 2.0.

Like the all-new Subaru WRX 2.0 Sport Lineartronic, the 6-speed Manual Transmission will have the same features such as Active Torque Vectoring, Hill Start Assist, Multi-mode Vehicle Dynamics Controls System (VDC), multi-function display including boost pressure meter, rear vision camera system, sporty front seats with red stitching, 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, rear diffuser, and rear lip spoiler.

The Subaru WRX 2.0 manual transmission variant will still have the same stiff chassis, which reduces body roll and improves handling, quick 14.3:1 steering ratio, paired with 268 hp and 350 Nm of torque from the 2.0-liter Direct Injection Turbo (DIT) Boxer engine.

Pricing for the all-new Subaru WRX 2.0 manual transmission variant is P1,818,000 and will be available mid-September 2014 at Subaru showrooms across the Philippines (Greenhills, Global City, Manila Bay, Alabang, Batangas, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro and Davao).
