Motul powers Vios Cup

MANILA, Philippines - In ceremonies held at the launch party of the 2014 Toyota Vios Cup, Motul, represented by Autoplus Sportzentrium, was officially announced by Toyota Motors Philippines (TMP) as the oil and lubricant of choice to protect and power the Toyota Vios Cup race cars.

“We are happy about this project, and this only certifies that when it comes to real performance, Motul is the oil and lubricant of choice bar none,” says Carlos Gono, president of Motul Philippines. In attendance to grace the event were Motul executives led by Samuel Kang, Motul Asia Pacific Manager and Burt See, sales manager for Motul Asia Pacific.

With 160 years of development and racing experience, Motul guarantees real protection and performance and is a 100-percent fully synthetic motor oil. Motul is the oil of choice of race teams all over the world such as TRD, TOM’s, Yamaha Racing, Mugen, NISMO, Team Suzuki, Subaru Tecnica, HRC Honda, Bugatti, among others. “Toyota is proud to have Motul as one of the major sponsors of the Vios Cup,” stated Michinobu Sagata, president of Toyota Motors Philippines.

The Vios Cup is set to hold its first leg on May 24 at Clark International Speedway, with at least 30 racers expected to comprise the starting grid. Besides 19 individual teams, competitors will include celebrities Phoemela Baranda (pole ;position holder of last January’s Vios Cup exhibition race), Rhian Ramos, Sam YG, Fabio Ide and Jinno Rufino. The event will also feature fun-filled activities for kids, a gathering of Toyota car clubs and a drifting exhibition by Keiichi Tsuchiya
