Youth teams vie for World Cup experience in Kia Champ into the Arena

MANILA, Philippines - Did you know that the world’s biggest single-event sporting competition is actually a quadrennial football tourney joined by 32 teams from 208 member associations from the world over?

The FIFA World Cup, with an inaugural tournament that dates back to 1930, is truly an experience like no other. Both ardent and casual fans flock to World Cup festivities held in different host countries like Germany, Italy, United States, South Africa, and Japan to witness the Beautiful Game.

Kia Motors Corporation, a staunch supporter of various globally recognized sporting events like the NBA and the Australian Open, will now also touch base with the world of football. As an Official Partner of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, Kia and its local counter parts commit to share the spirit of World Cup to its young and young-at-heart supporters.

Columbian Autocar Corporation (CAC), exclusive distributor of Kia Motors in the Philippines, will hold an amateur football tournament called Kia Champ into the Arena to give talented and deserving teams a chance to experience World Cup football action right in Brazil!

Young Filipino booters will vie for the crown on May 17 at the Alabang Country Club where an expected 32 teams from all over the Metro will compete. The winning team will fly to Brazil to watch a FIFA World Cup match live while also enjoying city and cultural tours packed in an all-expense paid 4-day hospitality program. The champs will also compete in the Champ into the Arena World Final joined by winning teams from other Kia distributors.
