Audi PH reveals new RS4 Avant

Audi Philippines revealed last week the new Audi RS4 Avant in an exclusive preview at Audi Global City. “We are happy to reveal this all new car. The new Audi RS4 Avant is engineered for a pure racing experience and designed for the sportiest driving pleasure on any road. Audi has designed the new RS4 for performance and everyday practicality, and I am proud to present it here in the Philippines,” said Audi Philippines Head Benedicto Coyiuto.

The new RS4 Avant, flown in straight from quattro GmBH factory in Neckarsulm, Germany, proudly bears the “RS” badge—a  mark of the most powerful Audis made with cutting-edge technology and engineering. The RS4 is a high-performance sports car for everyday driving.

The fourth generation RS4’s high-revving, naturally aspirated 4.2 liter V8 produces 450 hp and 430 Nm of torque. The RS 4 Avant accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h. The manual transmission is replaced with the all-new automated double-clutch S tronic gearbox which is also used in the Audi R8 supercar.

The RS4’s electric steering can be adjusted via Audi’s Multi Media Interface (MMI) to give the preferred amount of assistance. The MMI is also flexible enough to allow custom settings for engine, transmission and suspension: Dynamic - the sportiest setting – is  excellent for any race track experience but may be easily be shifted to Comfort setting if too much for everyday driving. Surprisingly, the Comfort setting does not blunt the car’s handling, while offering the most comfortable ride to its passengers.

Lighter and more efficient with better driving performance, the RS4 combines exceptional driving dynamics with an understated look. As with all RS models, it is a wide-bodied variant with flared wheel arches that are instantly noticeable.
