Old tires are just like new at Bridgestone Bandag

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Truck and bus fleets now have a total solution tire needs provider under the B Solution Program.

It all starts with the Bridgestone truck and bus radial (TBR) tire – a tire designed for heavy commercial use.  The advanced technology carried out by Bandag retreading allows TBR tires to come out from the process good as new. The world-renowned method is designed to provide a tire with several lifetimes.

Bridgestone Bandag maximizes the service life of tire casings. The purchase of Bridgestone TBR tires, and having them retreaded at a fraction of the cost of new tires offers significant savings without any compromise in road performance.

Four out of the 10 steps in the retread process are focused on inspecting the used tire and determining if it is the right for retreading. Additionally, there is an after-sales inspection for wear and tear and guidance on the use of retread tires.

Retreading also has environmental advantages. Retreaded tires require only 32 percent of the petroleum resources for production compared to new tires. Also, retreading uses less than half of the rubber needed for a new tire. This reduces CO2 emissions and minimizes industrial waste, so there is less environmental impact.

The B-solution is made complete by the company’s total technical, maintenance and after sales support. The B-solution program provides customer support services, cost-saving packages, service from trained tire technicians and IT support software for tire care maintenance.
