Blaupunkt is back in the game

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Europe’s number one audio specialist, Blaupunkt, is back—and quite impressively so—with a selection of modern car head units, stylish headphones and products designed for contemporary home entertainment. This was the message that Blaupunkt Philippines announced in a launch held recently. “We are back with guns blazing armed with the latest in car and personal audio,” says Edbert Tiu, President of Blaupunkt Philippines.

Presented during the launch were the various audio products such as noise-cancelling headphones, earphones, car stereos, amplifiers and a full line up of speakers engineered and designed for most European, Japanese, American and Korean sedans and SUV’s. “Blaupunkt represents quality and innovative power. The blue point represents products with excellent quality and technical competence particularly with regard to in-car radio reception and a first-class sound. Blaupunkt is now back, even greater than before,” adds Tiu.

The new generation car radio models—the Toronto, the San Francisco, the Madrid and the Atlanta—also include contemporary features and sport the elegant Blaupunkt design, which has stood for highly valued in-vehicle reception and playback quality for decades. Reliable integrated interfaces for iPod, iPhone, USB sticks, memory cards and portable hard disks make Blaupunkt car audio systems exceptional devices with easy operation. Integrated hands-free operation, access to the phonebook and audio-streaming via Bluetooth provide for state-of-the-art operating convenience when using such portable devices as mobile phones or music players and make driving safer. The tastefully designed yet clearly structured user interfaces afford the Blaupunkt products a modern look and satisfy customer demands in the premium segment.

Personal Audio

Sharing the limelight during the launch was Blaupunkt’s wide assortment of headphone models. The individual design clearly reflects on consumers’ lifestyle preferences. Consumers can easily choose from Pure ‘In-Ear’ earphones that delivers pure music to your ears anytime, anywhere; Pure Talk ‘In-Ear’ earphones with great sound and perfect voice transmission; Sport Talk that comes with removable ear-clips, to Comfort ‘Over-Ear’ headphones with the actively adjustable noise cancellation feature; or Style – Blaupunkt’s latest, up to the trendiest demand lifestyle On-Ear headphones, now available in White & Black with interchangeable ear cushions.

“In the development of its headphone program, Blaupunkt has closely geared its products to consumers’ needs. In addition to quality and design, our headphones also stand for mobility, safety and optimum value for money,” says Tiu.

The company originated with “Ideal,” a Berlin-based radio-telephone and appliance factory that was founded in 1923. In the beginning, the factory produced headphones, which were marked with a “blue dot” as a sign that they had been quality-tested. Soon customers simply began to ask for the “blue-dot headphones” (“Blaupunkt” means blue dot in German). In 1938, the original symbol of quality became the Blaupunkt brand name.

One of its many awards, Blaupunkt was number one position in the car hi-fi category at the “Germany first Choice Award 2009” and “2010”of auto.de. Today Blaupunkt delivers its products to worldwide and accredited as an OEM car manufacturer.
