The Caltex 2013 Auto Rally Corporate Challenge brings us together in the spirit of sportsmanship. We show off the power of over 60 models—the latest from the country’s top car companies—in this friendly competition of skill and speed, while observing road courtesy and safe driving that we all espouse.

It is this very spirit of sportsmanship that I invoke and wish for the entire industry. As we race towards building even greater connection with our respective markets, it is through this spirit of healthy competition, driven by innovative thinking, that our industry shall continue to advance.

Caltex is proud to support STV Auto Rally Corporate Challenge (ARCC), which is a fun and exciting way to promote road safety. The ARCC’s unique focus on precision driving skill and not speed to win the competition is consistent with the Caltex brand slogan for motorists to “enjoy the journey.” Caltex is known for its fast service that is never rushed which is similar to the ARCC rally mechanics.

Safety is a big part of the Caltex culture. We would like to share our emphasis on safety to our customers and the motoring public by supporting events such as the ARCC.

On behalf of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturing of the Phils., Inc. (CAMPI), I congratulate Sunshine TV for successfully holding the Caltex 2013 Sunshine Television (STV) Auto Rally Corporate Challenge (ARCC) last March 23, 2013 in the beautiful City of Tagaytay. It was indeed very significant not only for the motoring public but for the the automotive industry as well.

We thank the organizers for giving us the opportunity to once again gather and experience the camaraderie among industry players. The voluntary presence of members of different industry associations is a testament that this occasion has been regarded as a worthy industry event.

More power to STV as we look forward to the next ARCC in the near future.

“I’m very proud of the MINI STV Rally Team. It is very different to actually be one of them than just supporting the team. I was quite anxious and a bit pressured at first, when Elbert Cuenca invited me to join and become a part of their team as their “timer.” It’s not as easy as everyone thinks it is. It takes a lot of skill, an appropriate amount of speed, and a bonus of good looks, to become a champion in this race (as the decals in our MINIs say). I’m very glad we did it once again. It is a fulfillment not to fail as champions! I’m looking forward and I hope we can do better this November. Cheers and congratulations to Butch Gamboa and to all the STV Rally organizers.”
