Eurobrands Distributor, Inc. launches refreshed Peugeot RCZ

MANILA, Philippines - Even if Peugeot returned to the Philippine market just a year ago, they’ve been making themselves quite busy. In fact, distributor Eurobrands Distributor, Inc. (EDI) took the wraps off the updated RCZ sports coupe. Peugeot’s flagship and halo car, the updated RCZ is much sensuous and sleek, sporty and elegant, powerful and fluid. In fact, the RCZ previews Peugeot’s new design direction while affirming its place as a distinctive automobile within the Peugeot range.

The RCZ embodies Peugeot’s Motion & Emotion signature theme which is seen through its new, refreshed design. It is Peugeot’s intention to give the new RCZ a modern style while making it even more exclusive and unique. The new RCZ features a completely new front which is sportier and more flowing, emphasizing the power of its rear and the sexy curves of its ‘bubble’ roof. Indeed, the new front-end enables the front and rear of the RCZ to look much more harmonious while lending the bodywork an entirely new expression.

The central air intake, now subtle and elegant, is enlivened by two satin chrome bars and provides the effect of strength and refinement while the new grille is accentuated by a lower air intake which is extended on each side by unique light “signatures”. This consists of six LEDs, subtly sculpted in the form of claws, behind a smoked lens which blends into the gloss black surround.

Inside, the RCZ features a combination of enhanced power and sensuous expression with updates to the gear lever surround as well as the inserts on the door trims as well as the dash and center console.

With a lightweight body, carefully designed aerodynamics, and modern engine technology, the new RCZ receives only minor changes to its drivetrain. Nonetheless, the 1.6-liter turbo engine is an innovative mix of performance (156hp) and respect for the environment (up to 16.4 km/L).

Combined with the RCZ’s powerplant is a precise chassis featuring a tuned MacPherson front suspension, wide track, low center of gravity, and an active rear spoiler—all contributing to excellent aerodynamics and stability.

EDI says that the new RCZ is available by “indent order” to customers who wish to get their hands on one. It will be sold alongside the pre-facelifted RCZ, a sports coupe which is a beauty in itself, at all Peugeot dealerships nationwide
