MANILA, Philippines - The 2012 Porsche World Roadshow scheduled to visit 17 countries this year has made its first stop in the Philippines. Porsche Center Philippines, headed by Roberto Coyiuto III, is proud to host this enormous event in joint cooperation with Porsche AG. The event kicked off at the Clark International Speedway in Pampanga last February 2 and will continue until the 12th of February.
This year, 22 different Porsche models including the newest 911 Carrera S recently launched worldwide were shipped and flown in from Germany for guests to go behind the wheels and experience the various models in the lineup. Unparralled excitement and pleasure is guaranteed from this experience.
The Porsche AG brought in their cars consisting of the street-legal race car, the 911 GT3; the ultra-light convertible sports car, the Boxster Spyder; the highly anticipated hybrid models of Panamera S Hybrid and Cayenne S Hybrid; the legends, the 911 Carrera S and Carrera S Cabriolet; the convertible, rear-wheel drive 911 Turbo, and the all-wheel drive 911 Carrera 4S; the practical as a coupe yet thrilling like a convertible 911 Targa 4S; the best two passenger convertibles in the world, the Boxster S; the winner of Best Driver’s Car by Motor Trend Magazine and Best Sport Car by Auto Express, the mid-engine coupe Cayman S; the powerful SUV Cayenne Diesel, Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo as well as the widely received Panamera, Panamera 4 and Panamera Turbo. Furthermore, these Porsche cars feature a unique look with personalized options and equipment through the “Exclusive” concept.
In addition, seven instructors are running the event activities. Five professional Porsche driving instructors were flown in from Germany and two highly specialized from the Philippines are conducting the different driving exercises programmed for the whole day. The instructors’ backgrounds are very impressive ranging from an F1 Driver, GT3 Cup racer, DTM 2 time champion, Rally and Circuit Drivers, and Karting and Classic Car racer. Likewise, the activities are held in the closed circuit of the Clark International Speedway and a guided road tour is mapped out in the roads of Clark Development Zone with the highest safety standards.
Six years ago, in 2006, the Porsche World Roadshow was brought to the Philippines by the same organizers and proved to be a memorable and successful event.
