Honda Philippines marks production of 3 millionth motorcycle
MANILA, Philippines - Continuing to push ahead in its effort to provide customers with life-building technology, Honda Philippines, Incorporated (HPI) recently marked the production of its 3 millionth motorcycle.
The milestone comes less than two and a half years after the company reached a cumulative production of two million motorcycle units in 2008 – and just six years after producing its one millionth motorcycle in 2005.
In a line-off ceremony held at HPI Batangas, President and General Manager Katsuhisa Yoda applauded the commitment of HPI associates. “It is to the credit of our team members that every Honda product that leaves the assembly line does so with years of technological expertise, constant research and development, and a meticulous attention to quality control and customer satisfaction.”
Consumer interest in motorcycles continues to grow in the Philippines, and Honda’s 3 millionth unit, a business-model TMX 155, serves as a demonstration of the company’s efforts to reach out to a highly diverse motorcycle-riding community. Introduced to the Philippine market in 1981, the TMX 155 is a motorcycle designed to provide heavy-duty performance, high fuel efficiency, and enhanced business productivity.
