TRS Launches new training program for Champions

MANILA, Philippines - Tuason Racing School, the longest running and only professional racing school in the country, recently held a special dinner for Media and VIP to introduce their TRS Racing Career Management program. Guest were treated to a sumptuous dinner by Mielle’s Top 20 Best Restaurant in Asia, the renowned Antonio’s Tagaytay, with a sea bass and lamb menu by no other than Chef Tony Boy Escalante.

TRS founder and President JP Tuason, who is a multi- awarded race car driver himself, gave guests a talk on how to make a Filipino Champion Race Car Driver. The program includes five aspects such as Physical Training, Race Coaching, On Track Technical Expertise, Marketing & Public Relations, and Career Coaching all developed from TRS extensive 22 years of racing and training all over the world.

TRS has created a customized curriculum that enables them to bring into training younger individuals who aspire to have a viable and lucrative career in Motorsports. Formula 1 World Champions Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and many other successful motorsports global players today all started their training in their formative years of 3-16 years old in karting, circuit cars and lower formulas. This has given them the edge to acquire the skill set and mindset of a Racing Champion.

Introduced that night was the first batch of RCM members namely, 5-year-old Kingvin Chua, 11-year-old Basti Escalante and 16-year-old CJ Tsui. They undergo strict training 3-4 times a week. Escalante, who has been training with TRS RCM program under his coach multi Awarded Race Car Driver and Champion Drifter, Mike Tuason for a year, was able to achieve qualification to compete in the Karting World Finals in Italy this October. On the other hand, Chua is gearing to start his racing career in karting and Tsui in Cars.

The TRS-RCM program’s goal is to give Filipinos with potential a fighting chance to excel in the global arena. As former Malaysian Formula 1 Driver and Lotus Young Drivers Training head Alex Yoong once said, “F1 Champions are manufactured now.” JP Tuason is optimistic that the TRS RCM will eventually grow the participation of Filipinos in motorsport in the whole world and will one day catapult one deserving Filipino to F1, “With the right training, the right opportunities, and the right individuals, We believe we have the ability to make a Filipino global racing champion.”
