Say it with Free Gas

MANILA, Philippines – Some ads jump out at you from a page, still others are large and in charge of the freeway. Then, there are those that travel around the city and give something back.

Engage in advertising that gives – this is the business proposition of My Free Gas. Advertising is a fact of the economy anyway. “So why not do it to the advantage of those who believe in your products and services?” says My Free Gas president Doby Atilano.

Cartridge World – the world’s number one ink refilling service – for one, has teamed up with My Free Gas by using several vehicles handpicked from My Free Gas’ database to carry a standard-format, 20-by-3.5-inch “Cartridge World” sticker on their rear windshield. In return, these vehicles will receive a P1,000 Caltex gas card each month after recording a minimum accumulated mileage of 300 kilometers for that month.

My Free Gas has a continually growing register of car owners who have volunteered their vehicles essentially as roving ads, agreeing to have a 20-by-3.5-inch sticker of a business brand attached to the rear of their cars for a fixed period of time, in exchange for free gas.

“Corporations have the budget to market their products,” Atilano explains, “My Free Gas increases their exposure and supplements billboard ads at lower costs. In addition, we are equally committed to giving back to the people something tangible for carrying a brand – free gas.”

My Free Gas assists Cartridge World in selecting volunteers according to their target market. Cartridge World may be very specific with its choices – from the type of vehicle which will carry their business name to demographics like age, occupation and even place of work.

“It was a great idea for Cartridge World to advertise with My Free Gas,” states Cartridge World CEO Babylyn Decena-Newfield.

“Our business provides users with quality ink at 50 percent off the regular price of brand new ink cartridges. So when people refill their empty ink cartridges, they not only reduce waste but also save money. I think coming out with ads that reward ordinary consumers supports our company’s beliefs.”

With My Free Gas, advertisers get more control over who sees their ads and where they are seen. They can also track how far the ads have run through their own log-in page at the My Free Gas website.

But the best part of this innovative advertising medium is rewarding consumers with free gas.

“This is the first advertising tool of its kind in the Philippines or anywhere in the world,” Atilano declares.

There are so many ways to advertise products and services, and in an industry that seeks creativity, things always get interesting. Why not be creative and effective while returning your consumers’ support with some free gas?
