Tuason clinches top drift title

MANILA, Philippines - Fresh from its Philippine GT Championship win, Tuason Racing School’s (TRS) Mike Tuason, won 1st place at the 2010 Lateral Drift Championships, which for the first time was held in a racetrack at the Clark International Speedway. Tuason, on board on his TRS-Castrol Mazda RX7, bested past winners, Mark Rosca and Norman Agojo in the season’s most challenging course so far with high entry speeds and high speed corners.

“With our 3 months of developing this car, I think this is the first time the TRS-Castrol RX7 was able to stretch its legs, we were struggling with the first 2 legs of the drift competition.” According to Tuason, an accomplished race car driver and VP for Operations for TRS, “We were able to find the correct set up of the car for drifting, with collaborations with Speedlab, Audel Sison of Autocraft and Ponjap Racing. It also helps that the car is fitted with Goodyear Asymmetric tires ”
