MANILA, Philippines - Summer road trips are made more convenient now that SEAOIL announced that more stations will be carrying its premium gasoline product, EXTREME 97. Increased sales bolstered SEAOIL to expand the offering of EXTREME 97 in North and South Luzon. EXTREME 97 has the highest octane level available in the market today. Higher octane level of gasoline translates to increased horsepower and better burning characteristics for the engine.
SEAOIL stations offering EXTREME 97 in North Luzon are Baliuag and Paombong in Bulacan; and Guagua, Magalang, Mexico, San Luis and San Matias, in Pampanga. In South Luzon, it is available in Sto. Tomas, Batangas; Kawit and Silang in Cavite; Biñan, Calamba and Sta. Rosa in Laguna; and Lalig, Tiaong in Quezon. The company expects to roll out EXTREME 97 in Visayas and Mindanao in the coming months.
“We have seen a 59 percent increase in sales since we launched the product in 35 Metro Manila stations, 18 percent of which was contributed by EXTREME 97 sales alone,” said Glenn Yu, SEAOIL President and CEO.
SEAOIL is considered a pioneering independent oil company in the country and has taken up a substantial 4 percent share of the highly competitive market in terms of sales volume and retail network. Yu added that the introduction of EXTREME 97 in Luzon would further strengthen their steadily increasing position in the domestic gasoline market.
EXTREME 97 has 97 octane rating, providing engines the opportunity to operate at maximum output thus improving combustion and reducing engine wear and tear. High-octane quality prevents unstable “knocking” or “pinging” combustion, which produces an unpleasant mechanical engine noise and can eventually cause engine damage.
Yu said they have invested P10 million for research and development on EXTREME 97, including extensive product testing over two years. In fact, the EXTREME 97 formulation was tested to perform under extreme conditions by actual racers who participated in the 2007 and 2008 Philippine Touring Car Championship (PTCC).
SEAOIL started offering EXTREME 97 in 35 stations in Metro Manila last year and has since added 14 more stations outside Metro Manila. SEAOIL is expecting 76 stations to carry its premium gasoline product by the end of the year.
