4WD and Adventure show set at Alabang Town center

MANILA, Philippines - Experience the best outdoor season as Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation, Co-Presented by BBC TopGear Philippines in cooperation with The Philippine STAR, Ford, Audi, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Auto Review, NU 107 and San Mig Alabang Pub & Restaurant, opens its doors to The Off-Road & Adventure Show 2010 at the finest venue south of the metro: Alabang Town Center on April 23, 24 and 25, at the Activity Center and April 24 and 25 at the Car Park (former South Supermarket).

This summer event is loaded with thrills that will surely entice outdoor enthusiasts. What used to be a static display of off road vehicles from its previous years is now a show that will feature a 4WD technology demonstration track that will exemplify to the public the advantages, capabilities and also understand the limitations of multi-wheel drive vehicles. Because of the changing lifestyle of the urban dweller, there is a need for an update of transportation technology. If you are a mountain biker who is pursuing a treacherous mountain trail or a group of friends extreme biking or an individual trying to experience the challenging outdoors with your family, find a vehicle that will suit your needs even during the most inhospitable of conditions. This show includes a gamut of outdoor activities in a summer enclave feel that is within the comforts of the city: Exhibit of Latest & Modified SUVs, Auto Parts & Accessories, Motorbikes, Mountain Bikes, All Terrain Vehicles, Sports Apparels, Camping Gears and Adventure Travel.

The opening ceremony will be graced with prominent personalities in the automotive industry, Municipality of Muntinlupa, media and other sectors of the society.

And to beat the scorching summer ambience, this event is packed with a lot of happenings including a competition of latest & modified SUV vehicles where awards and prizes await the winners of Best SUV Car Display (Latest & Modified Category), Best Area Presentation, and the much coveted – Best Overall Display. There are also 4WD capability demo activities by the manufacturers and live performances by Stonefree, Mayonnaise, and Blue Boy Bites Back. Off-Road video screenings, summer sports activities, tailgate parties, and raffle promos are all in store for participants and guests alike.
