Colt 45 supports Hard Core Off-road Racing
MANILA, Philippines - Colt 45, “the strong beer for real men”, is proud to be the biggest patron of off-road racing in the Philippines through its sponsorship of the National Association of Filipino Off-Roaders (NAsFOR), the organization that binds all the various 4-wheeling and off-road clubs in the Philippines under one governing body.
This year’s Colt 45 NAsFOR 4x4 Extreme Series consists of eight regional races and four national races held around the country. In these races, the best off-road drivers from all over the Philippines represent their regional clubs and test their special driving skills in friendly competition to win the coveted Driver of the Year Award and the Regional Team of the year award; The two highest honors in the world of Philippine Off-road racing.
Over December 5 and 6, Colt 45 NAsFOR held the 4th national race of the season, hosted by the Manila Off-roaders, Inc. (MORI) and named the Colt 45 Tough Truck Challenge 2009. It was held at the McKinley Hills Open Field in Fort Santiago, Taguig City where over 50 of the country’s toughest off-roaders converged in the most awaited and biggest off-roading event of the year.
Greg Anonas, brand manager of Colt 45 said, “We believe that off-road racing is the most relevant and accessible motorsport for Filipinos today and Colt 45 is proud to be part of this hugely popular and rapidly growing motorsport.”
Anonas also said that, “Off-road racing is a sport for real men, and real men do not drink and drive and no one else can say it with more conviction than professional racers themselves. Colt 45 and NASFOR are both strong advocates of responsible driving and make sure we spread this message each time we have a race to both drivers and race spectators around the country.”
