MANILA, Philippines – After last year’s successful run of “Speedweek @ EK”, Enchanted Kingdom, the country’s premier theme park, brings this August a more exciting “Speed Month @ EK”, a month-long event filled with races and activities geared to pump the gas and adrenaline of all Park goers and race enthusiasts of all ages.
“Motor sports enjoy a natural affinity with the City of Santa Rosa, known as the ‘Detroit of the Philippines’, and home of the assembly plants of Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Honda and Mitsubishi. Races like theme parks are top crowd-drawers and Enchanted Kingdom is proud to showcase both at the same time,” said Mario O. Mamon, Enchanted Kingdom’s President and Chairman.
Now on its second year, “Speed Month @ EK” will present legs of the 2009 Magnolia Karting Series 2009 (August 1 and 2), the 2009 Magnolia Health Tea Underbone King Championships (August 8 and 9) by the Carmona Race Trak, the 2009 National Slalom Series (August 9) by the Race Motorsports Club, the 2009 Philippine Autocross Championship Series by Shago Racing (August 22 and 23) and the 2009 Rally Extreme (August 2 and 30) by Roadwise Motoring Foundation.
