PGA Cars to bring in the new Porsche 911 Carrera S

-
A New Dimension
For the first time since 1977, the Porsche 911 Carrera comes with a second, larger and even more powerful engine. The new 3.8-liter power unit at the rear of the 911 Carrera S develops maximum output of 261 kW (355 bhp) at 6600 rpm. Maximum torque of 400 Newton-meters or 295 lb-ft, in turn, comes at 4600 rpm. Powered by this high-performance engine, the Carrera S accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, continuing all the way to its top speed of 293 km/h or 182 mph.
Active PASM Suspension For The First Time
The new Carrera S is the first Porsche 911 to feature an active damper system — which even comes as standard. The "Porsche Active Suspension Management" (PASM) combines two suspension systems in one — a sporting but comfortable set-up for long distances and a particularly dynamic configuration for the race track. Together with the new suspension, the Carrera S has also received larger wheels, standard equipment being 19-inch rims on 235/35 ZR 19 tyres up front and 295/30 ZR 19 at the rear.
Larger Wheels
Wheel circumference has now been increased for the first time in the history of the 911, up by 2.5 percent on the front and 5 percent on the rear wheels. The result is a significant increase in the transmission of power thanks to the larger contact area and hence an even higher standard of performance on the road. For the first time, therefore, the Carrera S comes with 19-inch wheels running on 235/35 ZR 19 tyres up front and 295/30 ZR 19 tyres at the rear.
Interior Features: New But Familiar
The interior is also brand-new in its design and configuration, offering ergonomics of the highest standard. The lower seat position, the steering wheel now also adjustable for height, and pedals moved to the front ensure extra comfort particularly for the tall driver. New materials, in turn, add a special touch of class and elegance. Five circular dials with the rev counter right in the middle will make the Porsche driver feel at home immediately, the instrument faces on the Carrera S being finished in aluminum color as a clear sigh of distinction from the "basic" model. A new feature on both cars is the new night design of the instruments with white LEDs providing even brighter light intensity.

The main advantage of the new seats is even better side support, the seat frame at the bottom holding the side elements of the seats in an even firmer position. The sports seats, available as an option, come with a further increase in side support over the standard seats by no less than 50 percent. The adaptive sports seats, finally, allow the driver and front passenger to adjust the side supports on the seat bottom and backrest individually to their personal requirements.
