Single-Cab Ford Ranger to debut in the Philippine

-
Ford Philippines is launching a new single-cab Ranger variant that can be outfitted with an innovative passenger body or cargo carrier. With its launch of the new Single-cab Ranger, Ford is going to step ahead of the competition by offering an affordable passenger or delivery vehicle that takes on the rich legacy of the Ford Fiera of the 80s.

The passenger van or aluminum body, precision-made by Almazora here in the Philippines, is an excellent complement to the single-cab Ford Ranger, which is being built at Ford’s world-class Auto Alliance facility in Thailand.

According to Henry Co, Ford Group Philippines president, "The new Ranger answers a market need for vehicles that are not only made for transporting the driver and his family, but are really made to help small enterprise owners push their business forward. That’s why we specifically designed this Ranger for use by the small business owner."

The new single-cab Ranger is so versatile it can be used as a delivery or school service vehicle. Enterprising owners can also use it for catering service operations, and even as an office service vehicle.

The new Ranger Passenger Van, which comes with front aircon and stereo, can seat a total of 15 passengers. The passenger van can be used as a more effective mode of transport in metropolitan and provincial areas. With an introductory price of P540,000, the Ranger Passenger Van is perfect for the enterprising family man or small business owner.

For its part, the aluminum carrier-equipped Ranger can be used as a long and short-haul cargo transport. With ample overhead space for crucial inventory, the aluminum carrier-equipped Ranger is ideal for entrepreneurs with small business. The Ranger Cargo Van has an introductory price of 500,000 complete with front aircon and stereo.

Meanwhile, the Ranger Passenger Van retains the essential features of the 2003 Ranger pickup, including a powerful 2.5-liter Diesel Engine that offers up to 87 horsepower and maximum torque of 174Nm at 2500rpm. The new vehicle also comes with the rugged engineering and design of the Ranger pickup.

The new Ranger, which is available at Ford Libis, Ford Pampanga, Ford Cabanatuan and Ford Dagupan, is being sold with free tint, floormat, seatcovers, and a full tank of fuel. Ranger Passenger Van buyers automatically qualify for Ford’s Emergency Roadside Assistance (ERA) program, which provides quick response rescue for drivers requiring minor road-side repairs and towing services. By calling 24-hour hotline numbers, Ford owners can get assistance in areas including the National Capital Region (NCR), Benguet, Pangasinan, Region III, IV, VI and XII. Those in the cities of Cebu and Davao are also eligible for ERA assistance.

"We’re really positioning this for Filipinos who are looking to get the best for their small businesses," said Co. "With more than 90 percent of the country’s revenue coming from small and medium-scale enterprises, we can do no less than answer their call."
