Organized by TradeShow International, Inc. (TSI), the event has developed its own loyal following among car enthusiasts mostly from the younger generation. These individuals enjoy modifying and customizing their cars in the hopes of creating an automotive statement that is a cut above the rest.
The 2003 Caltex Delo Sport Truck & Custom Car Show will showcase the best machines in motor sports racing, pro-street, monster trucks, custom SUVs and custom cars. The event also serves as the best venue for companies to showcase their parts and services such as high performance and racing parts, trick suspensions, aero body kits, performance wheels and tires, exhaust systems, custom interiors, custom paint jobs, custom body works and sound systems.
The Open Class Competition for sport trucks and custom cars is always the main crowd drawer. The competition brings out the best in Filipino craftsmanship, design executions and attention to detail. In fact, most aero body kits used by competing cars are proudly Filipino designed and made. More than 50 custom cars and sport trucks will be competing this year for the top award of "Best in Show" in each division. Other major awards at stake are: Best in Category; Best in Paint; Best Engine Display; Best Interior; Best Car Display; Best Mural and Best Sound System.
Another major highlight of the event is the search for Miss Motor Racing Philippines. The contest is open to all promotional girls of corporate exhibitors during the 5-day show. Those qualified should possess pleasing personalities, great looks and most importantly, good knowledge of the product or service the contestant is endorsing. Several automotive related seminars are also scheduled during the show and the entrance is free to all show visitors. Invited speakers who will conduct seminars are known pillars of the industry.
