The Macau Grand Prix awarded Filipino Enzo Pastor a gold medal being the first Formula Renaults debut winner in Asia series.
Also honored in Macau was second placer Franky Cheng of China and third placer Francis Tija of Netherlands. Pastor was recognized as the first Filipino to ever win an international Asian race series.
Pastor tried out for Formula 3 at the Subic International Raceway and won second place. At the Macau Grand Prix, he was third on the pole. Unfortunately, he came in contact with James Green of Great Britain, the eventual winner.
The 22-year-old Filipino, however, remains hopeful. "Its my first time here in Macau. I will be back next year," he confidently said.
Pastor said he felt a good chance of winning considering he was running second when he was bumped out. He will tryout for Formula BMW in January in Spain.
