Grab offers solution for business, corporate riders
MANILA, Philippines - Southeast Asia’s leading ride-hailing app Grab has unveiled a new corporate solution called Grab for Work.
The new solution which is free of charge, offers business leaders, line managers, human resource (HR) and finance professionals across small and medium enterprises and multinational corporations a more productive way to manage their organization’s transport spending.
“Companies should focus resources on business growth and serving their customers. We see an opportunity to provide an end-to-end transport solution for companies – to help them modernize and streamline their transport expense management processes through our technology platform. From rides to receipts to reimbursements, Grab for Work offers a seamless user experience and enables HR and finance departments to save time on managing day-to-day corporate transport expenses,” Grab chief executive officer and co-founder Anthony Tan said.
The new solution will be first implemented in the Philippines.
It is considered relevant in the country due to road congestion and lack of efficient ground transportation, leading to losses for both businesses and employees.
“Alongside other business operating costs, such as labor and power costs, transportation challenges continue to affect overall business competitiveness and employee productivity. Through Grab for Work, we hope to bring dependable and cost-efficient mobility solutions for employees, organizations, and improve the overall economic life of the community,” Grab Philippines country head Wee Tang Yee said.
Under the new solution, rides booked with Grab could be tagged as business rides and assigned to corporate groups within the app.
All rides would be synced to the Grab for Work web portal, which is a single tool for businesses to organize and oversee employees’ travel.
The new solution can track and manage travel expenses by cost-centers, departments and project teams; set preferred corporate payment options: provide flexible payment options to employees, including automatic charging to corporate credit cards, personal credit cards or cash; as well as set and easily enforce ride policies.
It likewise allows users to save time by reducing paperwork as rides booked through the Grab app will be automatically consolidated in the Grab for Work portal in real-time, complete with ride information making the approval administration faster.
Apart from the Philippines, Grab currently operates in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
