All about skin

The latest trend about skin and skin care were the topics of discussion during the Philip- pine Dermatological Society’s 38th Annual Convention and the 13th Asia-Pacific Environmental and Occupational Dermatology Symposium held at the Edsa Shangri-La, Manila. A scientific program on timely and contemporary issues in dermatology was prepared

to cover the theme “Focus: Skin, Skin Knowledge and Innovations amongst Nations.” Renowned experts were also invited from the organizers’ partner, the International Contact Dermatitis Research Group, to discuss updates and shared experiences. The yearly event by the PDS is, by far, the best avenue to showcase all leading edge skin care brands as well as medical and aesthetic devices. Among the event’s major sponsors were two of the leading companies in the dermatology business, DermAsia Corp. and DMark Multisales Corp. Nikki Tang, who heads both companies as CEO, acknowledges that the strong partnership and business relations forged with the PDS help create top-of-mind awareness for their brands. We wish you more success this new year, Nikki!

Where CEOs converge when in the South

With it’s unique blend of Western comforts and Asian hospitality, Marco Paolo Davao with general manager Dottie Wurgler-conin at the helm, proved to be the most fit- ting venue for the first Asia CEO Forum in Mindanao. The forum, considered as one of the largest and well-attended business gatherings in the country, was the result of a meaningful partnership spearheaded by the hotel’s director of sales and market- ing Pearl Peralta-Maclang and Asia CEO Forum and Chalre Associates founder Re- becca Bustamante and chairman Richard Mills. Mindanao’s key business leaders and decision-makers attended the event wherein the guest speakers were able to address the relevant issues to Mindanao’s economic growth and the overall direction of its major industries. Marco Polo Davao, the first and only premier hotel in Mind- anao, has served as a venue partner for major events in the city including the an- nual Kadayawan Festival.
