Of new business opportunities

Johnny Litton - The Philippine Star

With Cebu being a top destination in the country along with the continuously growing MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions) market for regional, national and even international groups, Marco Polo Plaza Cebu’s (MPPC) holding company, Cathay International Resources Corp. (CIRC) headed by chairman Alfred Ty, decided it was time to renovate the Cebu Grand Ballroom of the top-notch 5-star hotel in the Queen City of the South. Recently unveiled, the newly-renovated ballroom can now accommodate up to 800 guests and can also be partitioned in three different ways, making it a more flexible venue for events. Seen at the launch were Cebu City mayor Michael Rama, Marco Polo Hotels vice president of operations Philippe Caretti, Marco Polo Hong Kong general manager James Ong and Bonifacio Landmark Realty and Development Corp. president Hans Hauri among others. Congratulations to the entire Marco Polo Plaza Cebu team led by hardworking general manager Julie Najar for this promising endeavor!
