A gathering of local and international financial executives took place at the Makati Shangri-La, Manila for the 44th International Association of Financial Executives Institutes (IAFEI) World Congress. With the theme Global Recovery Amidst Reforms, this year’s event was hosted by the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX), one of the founding organizations of the IAFEI. The highlight of the three-day congress was the Gala Night held at hotel’s Rizal Ballroom, with everyone wearing their best Filipiniana attires. FINEX president Edmundo Soriano gave a heartwarming welcome to the delegates while IAFEI chairman Luis Ortiz Hidalgo launched the association’s new slogan and presented the IAFEI executive officers for 2015. Meanwhile, IAFEI Advisory Council chairman Conchita Manabat and Luis Ortiz Hidalgo led the awarding of medals and plaques of appreciation to past IAFEI chairmen for their hard work and selfless dedication to the organization.
