Stronger economic ties

Further strengthening the economic ties between the Philippines and the United States is the full professional services firm R.G. Manabat & Co. (RGM&Co.) as it hosted a welcome luncheon for US ambassador Philip Goldberg at the Makati Shangri-La, Manila. The noteworthy affair was attended by RGM&Co. executives led by chairman and CEO Roberto Manabat and vice chairman and head of tax Emmanuel Bonoan as well as US embassy officers and members of the American business community here in the country. During the luncheon, Ambassador Goldberg noted that with Asian region on the rise, the United States plans to become more involved in the region, especially in the Philippines. In addition, he acknowledged the important role of RGM&Co. and its mother company KPMG International in bringing more US businesses in the country while addressing barriers to investments with the support of the US embassy.
