Cathay Pacific continues to soar to new heights

MANILA, Philippines - A gathering of prominent names from the diplomatic, government, business and social circles took place at the Turf Room of the Manila Polo Club in Makati City for the Hail and Farewell event of the top-notch international airline company Cathay Pacific. The worthwhile affair was a celebration of the Hong Kong-based carrier’s latest achievement as it bagged the World’s Best Airline recognition in this year’s Skytrax World Airline Awards, the fourth time that Cathay Pacific has won the prestigious award, making it the only airline in the world to do so. Guests were graciously welcomed to the event by the company’s hardworking team led by regional manager Wilson Yam and Philippines country manager Alan Lui. Besides celebrating its recent win, the airline company also unveiled its new destinations – Manchester, England and Zurich, Switzerland – which will commence by December 2014 and April 2015 respectively and bid farewell to its former country manager in the Philippines Martin Xu.
