Business As Usual

A ‘bank of value’

BUSINESS CHIC - Johnny Litton - The Philippine Star

Sixty years of dedicated service to the people of Guagua, Pampanga has seen GRBank growing in strength and stability.  It consistently lands among the top five rural banks nationwide for the past years in terms of total assets, net income and total capital.  GRBank was among the first 10 rural banks when it opened in the country in 1954 after a group of 14 determined and strong-minded professionals and businessmen from Guagua, Lubao and Sta. Rita, Pampanga pooled their resources to put up what was then known as Guagua Rural Bank, Inc.  Its current board of directors, composed mostly of second and third generation members of the Carlos, Lapid and Coronel families, is chaired by Amanda Carlos with Jose Carlos Jr. as president and CEO and Elizabeth Carlos-Timbol as executive vice president and chief operating officer. During its diamond celebration at the Grand Palazzo Royal in Angeles City, GRBank conferred the title “Ima ning MSMEs” (Mother of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) to Pampanga governor Lilia Pineda for empowering the lives of Kabalens “by supporting inclusive growth focused on business development in Pampanga through the MSMEs and, also, for greatly improving the social service programs of the province.” Guest of honor was  Senator Teofisto ‘TG’ Guingona III. With 17 branches (one in Kamias, Quezon City) to its name, GRBank aims to be a bank of value, not just a bank of success. With increasing resources and impressive financial ratios, GRBank is turning into an icon of stability in rural banking.  Congratulations to one of the most well-organized rural banks in the country today!
