Gearing toward growth

Helping its members stay abreast with the ongoing economic developments in the country as well as in Asia is the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) led by president Mel Salazar as it held an Economic Briefing seminar at The Peninsula Manila in Makati. Hardworking MAP member and First Credit Consultants Corp. president Grace Palma-Tiongco emceed the affair that featured International Market Assessment Asia managing director and Asia CEO Forum, Singapore and Australia chair Richard Martin as guest speaker. The said event also coincided with MAP’s General Membership Meeting where new members were inducted into the organization. Congratulations to the entire Management Association of the Philippines team for staging this worthwhile affair!

Rotary Club’s new officers

The incoming officers of the Rotary Club of Makati San Lorenzo were sworn in recently in simple ceremonies held at the Santuario de San Antonio Parish center.  The new officers were presented by outgoing president Nini Layug, with Presidential Communications Secretary Sonny Coloma leading the induction rites. Leading the new board of directors is Maila Garcia as president-elect and first vice president, with Mari Lacson – second vice president, Charlotte Cruz – club secretary, Jing Sarao – treasurer, and Maridel Villavicencio – executive director completing the board. Congratulations!

Exploring new horizons

Continuing to expand its list of clientele in the foreign tourism scene is the Henann Group of Resorts (formerly Boracay Regency Group) under the helm of indefatigable chairman Dr. Henry Chusuey as it participated in several international travel affairs. Led by vice president for marketing Karl Chusuey and director of sales and marketing Isabel Garcia, the hardworking Henann Group of Resorts marketing team took part in the travel expos in Busan and Seoul in South Korea as well as London in United Kingdom. Meanwhile, the resort giant was chosen by famous US-based fashion retail store Forever 21 to be its exclusive resort partner in the country.
