It was a night of candid banter over a sumptuous Chinese lauriat as First Pacific Company Limited managing director and Smart and PLDT chairman Manny V. Pangilinan (MVP) and other Smart and PLDT top executives attended a dinner hosted for the Association of Young Filipino-Chinese Entrepreneurs (AYFCE) led by its chairman Jeffrey Ng. The highlight of the evening was the question-and-answer portion, where MVP, as the keynote speaker, answered the very incisive questions of the younger members of AYFCE thoroughly and as honestly as he could. At the forum, the board and advisers of AYFCE were certainly proud of their young wards and how far the 21-year-old club has come along. Seen at the event were AYFCE chairman emeritus George Siy and president Jovenson Ong, First Pacific Company Limited associate director Ray Espinosa, Smart Communications co-founder and chief wireless advisor Orlando Vea, Edward and Jason Gaisano of Metro Gaisano Group. Celebrating years of charity
After 66 years of promoting internal fellowship and goodwill, and supporting worthy causes such as awarding scholarships to needy and deserving students, the All Nations Womens Group (ANWG) celebrated their anniversary with a Masquerade Ball at the Manila Polo Club Main Lounge. An induction ceremony was held as well for the group’s new president, Arlene Jacobo along with other ANWG officers led by His Excellency, German Ambassador Dr. Joachim Heidorn. The grand celebration was highlighted by a dance number performed by the new president and other inductees. Congratulations Arlene Jacobo and to all the new officers of the ANWG!
