MANILA, Philippines - Northgate Cyberzone, the premier IT park in Filinvest City, Alabang, will add four new business process outsourcing (BPO) buildings this year and next year to keep Muntinlupa City’s status as the main BPO center and employer south of Metro Manila. Currently, FLI has 12 operational buildings fully leased out in the 10-hectare BPO campus of Northgate Cyberzone, where more than 20,000 people are currently employed.
Construction of the 10-storey Filinvest One Building at the corner of Northgate Avenue and Alabang Zapote Road is already 95 percent percent complete and will add 19,637 square meters of Gross Leasable Area (GLA) in Northgate Cyberzone when it is completed this March, according to Cyberzone Properties Inc. (CPI), a subsidiary of Filinvest Land Inc. (FLI). HSBC will be among the locators to the said building.
Next year, the Filinvest Two Building and the Filinvest Three Building will be completed and add a GLA of 23,063 and 22,991 sq. m., respectively.
The nine-storey Plaz@ E along Dotcom Drive is currently 34 percent complete and will add another 15,146 sq. m. of GLA when finished in the third quarter of this year, FLI said.
Northgate Cyberzone has attracted many locators because of its many advantageous features. As a registered economic zone, locators get tax incentives. The IT park is supported by modern infrastructure such as a multi-source centralized water system and an advanced technology sewage treatment plant.
The buildings at Northgate Cyberzone can accommodate multiple telecommunications service providers and a multi-platform, open source broadband network. Generators supply up to two days of continuous power and the only IT Park with a 14 wheeler mobile Gen-set on standby with 1,400 KVA. There is a 24-hour emergency quick response unit from Lifeline Rescue.
Low to medium-rise buildings, wide roads, lush greens and promenades provide a refreshing campus atmosphere. The high-quality yet more-than-reasonably priced residential spaces at Studio 1 & 2, West Parc and Studio City are the best “condormitels†in the country. An outdoor basketball court is available for lease.
Northgate Cyberzone is connected to the Skyway making it accessible to major roads and public transportation. It is very near commercial establishments, residential developments, universities / schools and hotels.
Along EDSA, the latest addition to Filinvest’s BPO office portfolio is the EDSA Building, which has a GLA of 7,358 sq. m. The building was turned-over last August 2012. Whole building taker is Anthem/ Transcom.
