For love of nature

Being in the company of Lopez Group of Companies chairman emeritus Oscar Lopez is always an honor for anyone. With his numerous achievements and by leading notable activities for various sectors, he recently received a much-deserved cocktail party as a tribute to his advocacies, specifically the ones that protect and preserve nature. Lopez Group’s energy conglomerates hosted the heart-warming gathering at the Rockwell Tent in Makati. Prominent personalities from government, business and the academe graced the occasion dubbed “For Love of Nature,” organized by First Philippine Holdings (FPH) Corporation and its subsidiaries First Gen Corporation (First Gen) and Energy Development Corporation (EDC). As a fitting tribute to the nature-advocate, three ground-breaking books were launched that night, signifying his love for the environment: EDC’s “Rafflesia of the Philippines,” First Gen’s “Generations” and “The Philippine Native Trees 101.” All three books aim to educate people on conservation of flora and fauna while promoting the beauty of our natural surroundings. Congratulations to the Lopez Group of Companies for such a note-worthy event and to Oscar Lopez for inspiring us to take care of our environment!
